Hi Ted:
                       In a chassis there are shelves and the shelves
are attached to the frame of the chassis. As long as the mating surfaces
are tight using lock washers metal shavings should not be a problem. But
metal under a BGA, will be catastrophic. Soft metal will shed metal
easier, i.e. aluminum, than SS.

Hi all,

Have anyone seem mechanical designs with metal agaist metal in chassis?
I do know there will some metal shavings, but will it cause any failure
if it get underneath the BGAs?  What others problems might this cause.
Any feedbacks and comments are welcome.
