Thanks EU, I trust your buddies over at Airbus and EAD's are having fun
with this too, not a wonder that Boeing is smacking the back side of
Airbus... or are they exempt? :-) Yes, I know they are, but I think you
get my drift...
Later...

Dee,
I feel your pain. We run small quantities as well for aircraft
instruments, and are exempt from RoHS. We are still struggling with
fine pitch components which are only available as LF now. In many cases
we are forced to use component "brokers", but these parts are older, and
the prices are continually rising. I look forward to reading further
knowledgeable responses that you receive on this subject.
Best of luck,
Dave

Subject: part availability

I am looking for information and articles about component
availabilities. We are having trouble finding stock for many
components, we believe, due to the rohs switch over. Our engineer seems
to think the fabricators availability information is not accurate. Is
anyone else having trouble with this?

What are all of you doing during engineering to ensure parts are
available when going out for prototype or production runs?

One of our added challenges is that our runs are extremely small and
part minimums can be an issue.
