Happy Holidays TechNet,

I need a little help,

Has anyone out there had recent experience with placing this part?

Molex 52760-1609 160 Pin connector 0.635mm pitch with a 58.67mm(2.309in)
overall length.

It seems to be a little too large to fit in the centering jaws of our Pick
and Place machine... what other options are available if we don't go back
and redesign to change connectors?

Things that I am looking into are:
1) Can our machine shop modify the centering Jaws on the MyData machine to
fit the parts?
2)Does MyData sell a conversion or adapter to increase the Jaw area on the
machine?
3) Can we still insert the parts without having to go through the centering
jaws, perhaps with optical correction?
4) What does a new machine cost that will accept the part?
5) Other options?

What issues do you see with keeping the connector in the design? Any good
advice on how to proceed?

Best regards,

Bill Brooks
