John,

I don't have for whole Europe, but an interesting example follows,
unfortunately in danish, which I could translate if I had time to:

http://www2.mst.dk/common/Udgivramme/Frame.asp?pg=http://www2.mst.dk/udgiv/publikationer/1998/87-7909-207-1/html/helepubl.htm

Yearly consumption of Lead in Denmark : 14,400-17,900 tons
of which elektronics is 130-170 tons. That is 0.1 % !

Sweden is biggest Lead Mining producer in Europe, with yearly 80,000 tons.
Most of it is sold in Europe. Say that other country's consumption is 0.1%
average, that makes about 80 tons electronics Lead a year.

As I said, just an example.

Mike Fenner may have exact numbers, I think, but he will certainly not be
allowed to give us that information.

Inge
