Thanks for the note. My question was to the toxicity  of phosphors.

I am aware of the chemistry cited and I am guessing that "soft, slightly
acidic water" is not likely to be found in a land fill or at least once a  rain
drop hits the dirt... ;-)

Unfortunately, we continue to be left with the simple fact that there is no
evidence from the field to support the assertions from those laboratories
seeking to prove their broad based theories in beakers.

Just too many other materials in nature that get in the way and  stop lead
from leaching it appears.

Guess they may need to get the land management folks to use very big  beakers
as landfills exclusively for mashed up electronics so they can  prove
themselves right... ;-)
