It is not in the RoHS Directive but in the WEEE Directive. The EU interprets
that the exemption extends to RoHS from the WEEE Directive.

It is widely known that the aircraft industry is exempt from the lead
free requirements of RoHS but where exactly is that stated? I've looked
through the exemptions and didn't see it.

I did see that number 15 of the 4th Batch Exemption Proposals (Submitted
by Industry on October 2005) requested exemption for the avionic -
aerospace industry but is it actually spelled out anywhere?
