The thermount situation as I understand it is that DuPont have
discontinued the N series fibre currently used in the majority of the
epoxy based thermounts and the E series fibre used in the polyimide
thermount has an uncertain future. Arlon are I believe currently
evaluating new E series materials for use in both epoxy and polyimide
variants, but the upshot is that material availability beyond the end of
next year is currently questionable.
