Hi Arlene
A hybrid IC is basically a small populated circuit board within an IC
package. So multiple components, packed in a shell and packaged as an
IC. Typically they are pretty big - the ones we work with are at least
1.5 inches per side.
I don't know how common they are these days, the ones we work with are
on old (15 year +) designs.
