Hi Matthew,

That level of antimony should not have any negative effect on your
process. In fact, some large EMS companies specify SAC alloys with that
level of Sb because it has proven to reduce copper dissolution.

Best regards,
David

Subject: Re: [LF] Antimony in Lead Free solder pot

Hi MA/NY, AIM's Davids & LF technetters,

I am a little bit concerned with the presence ( ~ 0.3 to 0.5%) of
antimony in SAC305 selective solder pots. The trend is going up with
weekly measurements using an XFR instrument (, and the copper
concentration trend is also going up to ~1%).

Currently, I sent out some samples to be independently analyzed. At this
time, I am clueless how antimony is introduced into solder pots when
virgin SAC305 has less than 200ppm concentration level.

Hi Matthew, AIM's DavidS, IPC LF Listservers,

So, in your application, what is happening to increase Sb (Antimony)
concentration in the solder pot. Continual Sb increase is a bit unusual.
