Hi Lina
The current Thermal Shock test in the IPC-TM-650 has both electrical and
microsection evaluation.  The reason for this is the fact that electrical
measuring techniques may or may not be adequate to "catch" the cracking going on
within the barrel.  Samples must meet the requirements of both evaluations to be
considered compliant.  Since your electrical test setup is not catching the
cracking I would investigate the electrical wiring - the times at which
measurements are made etc.

The samples would not be compliant due to the barrel cracking found in the
microsections.
