Werner,
I understand your point, but the temp stress really is relative to
the product being tested and the purpose of the testing. In one case I
perform infant motality screen at -10C to +70C while the product runs
through functional testing. There are other stresses applied at the
same time....voltage...frequency...etc... It really is impossible to
give a blanket statement that a specific temp stress is good for all
applications. There are a lot of variables that need to be considered
in each case. A better question for a newcomer may be.....What
variables should I consider and what is the formula to determine the
proper stress temp. It's not an easy process.

-10C to +70C is not an ESS environment--it would screen out very
little, if
anything. This T-range could serve as a burn-in, but not as a screening
procedure.
