Hello all, I have a question for all of you. My company is a distributor of
electronic components, but we have recently purchased and XRF machine to
provide in-house RoHS testing. My question is have any of you run into any
problems with receiving reports with high Br ppm values. The directive only
excludes PBB and PBDE and there is no way to discriminate between the
different Br compounds using the XRF technology. Is it pretty much a
standard to ignore the high Br reading since PBB and PBDE haven't been used
for more than 10 years? I haven't had to answer this question yet for any
work orders.but it is inevitably going to come up.
