I know that there is/was a company out there that offered a 90 deg. bend
finger that fit in place of the 45 deg. bend finger, and the portion
that went under the board was Teflon-coated to prevent solder from
sticking/transferring. However I cannot recall who they were. That may
fix your problem of solder retention on the fingers.

fingers

Our Alphametals guy says that they (Alpha)have never seen this before.
Nobody else in the solder business (machine or material) has an answer
for us either. I guess that I will buy a few new fingers and see if
they grab solder off the wave.

Kevin,

I don't have a solution but I wonder if you've discussed the problem
with the solder manufacturers? They should understand the metallurgy of
their product and hopefully be able to give you a solution.

Regards,
