Hi Ian:
        If you use chemical stripper, make sure the board is well clean
after the strip. Some of the strippers leave a lot of ionic
contamination and create dendrite growth. If the board has solder mask
as the last layer and a small area needs to be stripped micro blasting
can be used or use a wide blade iron tip and it scraps off like butter.
