18-10 is not an exact descriptor of an alloy, but it is clear is is quite close to 303.  The devll is often in the details, and it is probable that these two alloys are not identical, but it is also probable that they could be interchanged.

Any possibility of testing?

We need some ¼-16 threaded 303 stainless PDQ. A local supplier can get us some 18-10. Is it better?



This is used as a lead screw in an small industrial machine.
