Hi Al,

A picture of a blowhole can be found in the book Soldering in
Electronics written by R.J. Klein Wassink. In the first edition on
page 409, fig. 12.11 and the same picture in the second edition on
page 655, fig. 12.13. On these pages are also drawings that give
impressions of the diverse solder depressions as pits, cavities,
blowholes and holes. A blow hole is a hole with an irregular and
jagged rim in contrast with cavity that has s a smooth rim.
