Chances are that what is being seen is actually migration of basis
material up through the gold, but without further information and a look
at the pictures we can't tell.

Gold does not corrode. The corrosion you see may be due to holes in the
gold and the material in the holes corroding.

plating. Please see picture. Could anyone suggest an acelerating test to
evaluate que problem?
