Is it possible that the Extreme Simple Green does a very good job of removing oils and if the part is a steel or iron part that it will rust unless coated or sealed? Flash drying should reduce or prevent the short term rusting, but all bets are off if the part sits around after cleaning.
For oil covered circuit boards I would think this level of cleanliness, after rinsing, would be desirable. There are very few, if any, steel parts on our circuit boards.
Just my 0.5 Rubles (2¢).
