We use the Metalcal irons and have the RoHS tips.



Try ETAMVIT from MBO (datasheet attached) from www.mbouk.co.uk



We use it and are happy........... you need to take much more care with

tip maintenance for RoHS.......

Hi, 



        We use 2 type of iron for the production, some Metcal, some

weller, we bought for those 2 types ROHS tip.  But it seem to oxydize

more that the Non-ROHS type.  After each day we must clean the tip with

some product ( we try different produts but each seem to make some

damage on the tip)  If we not clean them the solder won't stick to the

tip, the solder wire just made a ball on itself.  We use SAC305 wire

with flux in the wire.



        I wonder if someone could give me some hint? is that normal ? or

what kind of cleaning do you do on your tips?
