Thanks John.

The marking standard with three marks was the first draft. The one with two
marks is the final draft.

The MCV standard with the EIP-D category was the first draft. The one
without is the final draft. The exemptions identified in the EIP-D category
are expected to show up in the catalog, when it is published; this makes
sense and is more consistent with how the law is written (and will make
updating exemptions that much easier for the Chinese since they have an
automatic mechanism to update the catalog annually and can define exemptions
against specific EIPs in the catalog. For example, if there are no
servers/storage array systems/network infrastructure in the catalog, there's
no need to define a Pb-in-solder exemption...assuming they stay consistent
with the EU's granted exemptions).

Buy them (yes, we have to charge for them - we paid to have them
translated...the Chinese government is not providing translations of the
drafts) at www.ChinaRoHS.com.

Subject: [LF] English translations of China RoHS 'marking' and
'concentration l imit' draft standards

Greetings,
Has anyone found a source for a good English translation of the final draft
of the Marking and Concentration Limit standards? I thought I had good
translations, but it became apparent that the Concentration Limit standard
was lacking, because it did not say anything about the EIP-D category
materials.

I have found 2 translations of the Marking standard--one with 2 different
markings in section 5, and one with 3 different markings. I'm not sure
which is accurate.

Thank you,
