Haven't ever heard of, never mind being plagued with this one.

I have 2 programs on my PC;

1) CAMCAD Vision ( gerber viewer & editor) paid for license from
RSI
2) eDrawings2006 ( free SolidWorks 3D viewer )

I can run CAMCAD Vision OK. Then exit it.
But when I call up eDrawings2006 viewer, it instantly runs the CAMCAD
installer.

Both are shortcuts on my desktop. The same happens if I double-click the
desktop icon or double-click the .exe file in the installed folder.

I already un-installed eDrawings 2006, reboot my PC, then installed it
again. No change.
And I do need to have both programs on my PC. They do NOT interact with
each other when running. These are 2 independent programs. Out IT guru
is on holidays so I am really looking for ideas.

I didn't think that a program could interact with another this way. I
have already checked out the file associations in the FOLDER options.
Each file extension calls up its respective program to run.

So where does windows get this erroneous info ?? Registry? I didn't
think the registry can make such cross connections. I stay out of the
registry as much as I can as I don't know too much about it.

Any ideas appreciated, especially if someone had such a problem, what
did you do to fix it?

Thanks a bunch.

Regards
TDK
