Many thanks, Steve,

Unfortunately, the wining from the compressor and the electric generator
overruns the low frequency diesel engine itself.
One week ago I caused a few seconds traffic stop, because a 30 pcs 100 tons
each stone carrier wagons were just pulled from zero by a 3-set ´2,000 HP
diesel locomotives, just had to open car door and listen...my car was just
shaking cause the shock waves from the roaring monsters.

Hey Inge!

Here's one I'll send ya' and it's just about two minutes long; it's from
the "Queen City" which is a 6200 horsepower towboat, built by Dravo 1973
at Neville Island Pennsylvania. A Twin Screw with GM V-16 model 645E7B
engines. She has a hull size of = 140' x 42' x 12' drafts. The boat
used to work the Mississippi, but now works the Ohio, since it was sold
to Ingram Barge Lines. Listen to her engines - Screaming , as she exits
locks on the Ohio = IN HEAVY ICE. Her sound effects were taken from a
Vhs video by Joe E. Brown, as he filmed her. Guys, I've had others
listen to this audio and tell me, "Man - That's Better Than
S-E-X!"...... Well, Almost!!

Hi all,
am little weird kind of, love the sound of BIG machines. Mustang V8?
Psss..no. Maserati V12? pffff..no
Abraham RR? pfff..no ,no.... what engines then? Like the one below:

http://www.bath.ac.uk/~ccsshb/12cyl/

Is there anyone at TN who can send BIG diesel sound tracks, about 20-60
seconds long. Tried to find 5-locomotive cartrain roaring from Detroit,
but can't find any (except for those who sail CDs )

Crazy? Mebbe..but happy hearing the roaring from a hard working diesel
engine (BIG!).

Inge
