It would seem that one need not comply with a law when that law is proving
itself to be immoral. This is suggested on the basis on the mounting evidence
that the law's enforcement (related to lead-free) will cause greater damage
to environment and will return no benefit.
History is replete with examples of cases where numerous individual acts of
civil disobedience by individuals of conscience resulted in the abolishment
of bad laws... Jim Crow laws, laws banning women suffrage and prohibition
come quickly to mind. There is much to be learned from history. It has a way of
repeating.
