Hi Brian, EnviroNet Listservers,

Thanks for adding your personal experience; as well as, that of other
global scientists who were disappointed by VP-Gore.

One of my later thoughts on watching him criticize Reagan and then Bush-1
via newsreels was that he failed miserably to criticize himself, Clinton,
the Democrats, the Europeans, an the evolving 1st World countries. Eight
Years (8 years) as VP under Clinton, a Democrat, and little was initiated
or vigorously spoken on these issues that now become Republican only
continual problems.

He showed a few graphs yet the most major graph in terms of importance was
displayed across the entire length of the front of the stage (where this
stage was I don't remember being noted). The graph was a dual Y axis graph
with temperature on the top and CO2 levels in ppm on the bottom. One of
those dual graphs where you want to show a relationship. It was reported by
AL as going back beyond the Great Ice Age (At least that is what I remember
of the X axis). Al then got on an elevated platform so that he could show
via hydraulically elevating himself, to point with his finger, how high we
were going to be going (up up and away) due to our current established
patterns.

I will have to look on his web site to see where the heck this graph is
published. On other graphs I could quickly see that he had properly put
some kind of a reference in the corner. Sometimes the reference didn't come
with a date yet it did list the organization that was responsible and
hopefully accountable for the data. In this one big honking most important
chart I saw no reference, which would be disturbing if my memory is correct.

As I remember this graph, as I write this note, the temperatures for the
ice ages do not {now} compute. In a graph that goes up and then down the
ices ages didn't really go down very far and were consistent with an
average scatter saw tooth plot.

Also as long as I am thinking about inconsistencies, and maybe errors, Al
showed an ice core sample and discussed how scientists showed him the
actual date that CFC's were removed from the World due to legislation. The
inconsistency is that it was a small colored ring in the middle of clean
looking ice before and after. I have no idea what ice would look like
before or after CFC removal or if it would even be visual, yet if it did
show a change in our visual spectrum I would expect to see a change in
color (you know ugly (black/red) before and white afterwards) not just a
small band of dark in the middle.

Yours in Engineering, Dave
