The simplest is to choose a nozzle size as greater as the
body of the component. Can't be more than that because the
machine would start rejecting parts as the camera image
won't correlate to the component library set. Even this
one has some flaws.
Since you want to achieve the maximum vacuum force, the
area is only one factor to consider. The flatness, or
better yet, the smoothness of the touching surfaces
(component AND nozzle) play an important role. It is not a
case that a little nozzle with plastic cap on the tip may
end up doing a better job, than one bigger without.
