And will the lawsuit reimburse all the companies for what they have
invested in this misguided change?

Yes, I'm sure there are such lawyers, especially here in the US.
Think of the lawyers who sued Big Tobacco. They got billions for their
efforts, which were a foregone conclusion.
They are using that as a warchest to go after other large
establishments.

Oh, one more thing. There is a county in either the state of Alabama or
Mississippi where the majority of class action lawsuits in the USA are
filed. I'll find the details and post them later. Seems that a number of
the citizens are becoming millionaires. While part of the county becomes
the jury, the rest of the county signs up as part of the lawsuit as
injured parties.
