Allen,
there is almost no issue with RoHS components on HASL soldered with leaded paste. Most components have been RoHS for a long time, one example would be the connectors with golden pins. So no worry, unless we are talking BGAs. There is a study by Rockwell-Collins showing premature failures on the lead-free BGAs soldered with leaded paste.
Regards,
Ioan

Subject: [DC] ROHS Components in a HASL design
Has anyone done any investigation on solder joints or what ever effects happen with ROHS components in a HASL PCB and assembly process?
Just curious about what happens to those who are exempt from ROHS.
Thanks,
Allen Maddox, CID+
