Hi Don,

Typically this term relates to plated holes that have been trimmed in half
at the edge of the board. Edge plating would be a different operation all
together.

Place the plated thru holes on the board outline and they will trim them in
half. You can add a note about deburring much like you would with a machined
metal part.

Talk with the shop you plan to use to manufacture your boards and make sure
they know how to do this operation because some shops are not skilled at it.

The guys I called to help us with castellation are at Hughes Circuits in San
Marcos, CA. Jeff Hughes is very helpful and will steer you in the right
direction. They have done both edge plating contacts and castellation holes.
