Werner is right that the real value of the shear/peel test would be in the
interface failure information, otherwise the shear value would be round
about the shear value of the material which can be found in literature or
from the manufacturer, and would vary roughly according to the contact area.
For general evaluation testing, high standard deviation in shear/peel test
usually should not serve as an alarm.

Thanks.
Syed.

Subject: [TN] Need IPC Spec for Shear Strength
Importance: High

Hello,

Can anybody please tell me the IPC spec for Shear Strength (in psi) of
lead-free alloy SAC 305?

It is very urgent that I have to compare my readings to a standard.

Thanks,

Herminia
