Since you have already experienced symptoms - "The symptoms of dry eyes,
red vessels and small lump on the eye ball
described by the eye doctors on TV are what I have experience recently." I
would say yes, you are prone to the Uv reflection off the boards, especially
if you are not using any Uv eye protection at all when performing the
inspection.
When we service our Uv lasers here, we take every possible precaution to
protect ourselves not only from the laser beams, but from incident &
reflected laser light. Not only do we wear the proper eye wear for the laser
type, we also wear Uv protective face shields, and we cover up all exposed
skin with clothing & gloves. Safety always come first! Heck, I never go
outside without wearing Uv protective sunglasses! Recently a friend of mine
was just treated for Uv keratosis because he was working in a farm field for
many hours without sun glasses on a recent sunny day!
With that in mind, when you remove your prescription eyeglasses for
inspection, slip on a pair of Uv protective eyewear, such as can be found
here: http://www.uvprocess.com/product.asp?code=EYEPRO+++S
They are really cheap compared to the cost of eyeballs. They also come in
clear lenses for excellent VLT (Visual Light Transmission.)
Wear you sunglasses outdoors as well!

Yes and No. I am wearing normal progressive lens spectacles for both long
and short-sightedness. However, during inspection, due to my long
sightedness, I need to remove it in order to see properly. I usually held
the board as close as 20cm or 8" away from my eyes.
Does that make me prone to the UV reflection from the board.
