You and Kay are both right, David, but they are not all in lock step.
While there may well be large shared overarching factors that influence
general prices (general inflation is one example), there are clearly many more
independent factors (scarcity, mining costs, refining costs, etc.) that
influence prices of individual metals.
Were it otherwise, there would be need to only track the price of one metal
and adjust all other metals to match its percentage of gain or retreat.
