Wait a second...

I just checked a few of the wipes on the JNJ Industries website:
http://www.jnj-industries.com. The products' MSDS I checked caused skin
irritation at various levels, depending upon exposure. You probably could
clean the hardware successfully with their wipes, but I would not want to
clean my hands with this material.

I think what Graham is looking for is a wipe which can clean a person's
hands without leaving a residue on the hands which can be transferred to the
hardware. In a prior life, we did not allow any hand lotion or hand cleaning
materials in the shop floor. If an operator's hands got dirty, they were
instructed to leave the workcenter and wash their hands. Some operators
would go to a "Wet Lab" which was adjacent to the manufacturing shop to wash
their hands in an emergency situation.

I would be very cautious about putting anything in the shop to clean
operators' hands. Some soaps and lotions can leave a film on the hands which
can leave residues on boards. Hate to say this, but I would have the
operators take the walk unless it is an emergency and their hands had to be
immediately flushed. There should be stations in the shop for that type of
an event, by law.

Hope this helps.

Good Luck.

So the other day I was asked if it would be OK if the production folks used
hand wipes, and was handed a container of the wipes our maintenance guys
use. I'm very reluctant to OK it this specific one, but I'm wondering if
there are any available that are OK to use in a CCA production environment?
Something that won't leave nasty residues on a CCA?

JNJ Industries makes a couple of different varieties that are specifically
made for the CCA factory floor.
