I have these strippers in my own shop. I like them a lot as they do not ever nick the wires. I have used larger ones to strip off heavier insulation and they work quite well for that. If you can find one the cuts into the insulation "almost" to the wire, you can easily pull off the insulation without nicking the wire. By all means, try it. 
The only strippers I like better than these, well, never mind, I cannot discuss that here.

For stripping stranded wires (class 3 applications), we are using mechanical strippers -not adjustable- similar as you can see in the following link: http://www.jokari.de/jokari.asp?cid=258

With some kind of wires, we cannot use the stripper associated to it gauge
(AWG) due to the external diameter of the jacket. In this case, is it advisable to use the stripper required for the next AWG wire? That is, an
AWG22 wire stripped with the mechanical stripper required for an AWG20 wire.

Can you recommend us a good hand mechanical stripper for Teflon wires?
