The need of DI rinsing at this stage in the process is generally not
needed because the desired results will be stripped and etched away
precluding any benefits realized by the DI water. This is however
dependant on the quality of you city water feed into your process. I
know shops that use DI simply to combat the poor and/or variable quality
of the water intake. But in general you are wasting money for dryfilm
resist application processes.

Subject: [TN] D.I. RINSE
Technetters:
A question for all pcb fab experts. Having a disagreement in house on
the
importance of a D.I. rinse (compared to a fresh water rinse) after chem.
clean for inner layer cores prior to resist application.
How important is a D.I. rinse or rinses. Your input is very much
appreciated.
Thanks
