We have used silver coated stranded wire for many years with no known problems in a military application.  The IPC repair standard IPC7711/7721A also has same caution note.

  IPC-HDBK-001 section 5.0.5, Silver Coated Leads, pg 56 states that silver finished leads (solid) are not typically used because of silver migration (silver/tin intermetallic) which can cause solder joint failure.

       We need to add a 30 AWG jumper wire to a lead-free assembly (Class
  II). IPC-A-610 says that silver plated stranded wire should not be used
  due to possible corrosion under certain conditions. Our thoughts are
  that this (corrosion possibility) is unique to stranded wire. Would
  silver plated solid wire be an alternative? Any input would be
  appreciated. Thanks.
