Hi Suganthi:
Cross talk happens between adjacent traces. Signals jumped from
a trace to the adjacent one and corrupt the signal. Vertical cross talk
would be between traces in adjacent layers, instead of layers in the
same layer. One of the causes of cross talk is poor insulation or
shielding.
