MEETING OF THE SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND CHAPTER
OF THE IPC DESIGNERS COUNCIL

Date: Tuesday, the 14th of March, 2006
Where: MacDermid Inc., Waterbury

Time: 1 – 4pm

Please note the time change!! We are trying this time change to enable
you to be with your families during the evenings and hopefully avoid
traffic jams. Snacks will be served since the meeting falls between
normal meal times.

Topic: How to Better Predict the Reliability of Product Life Cycle
Performance as we Transcend to RoHS Compliant Products

Our chapter dedicated several meetings on issues relating to the
European ROHS directive in 2005. As the compliancy date rapidly
approaches, many issues still remain unanswered in the eyes of many
companies. Tech Circuits, a manufacturer of printed circuit boards, has
performed extensive testing and evaluation of laminate materials from
several suppliers, to determine compatibility and long term
survivability to not only ROHS, but the lead free soldering environment.

This meeting will describe the evaluation process that was developed and
provide recommendations based on the results. Attendees will walk away
with a better understanding of the long term reliability issues
surrounding the effects of lead free soldering on laminate materials and
printed board assemblies.

This is a don’t miss event!

Speaker: John Quigley, Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Technology
for Tech Circuits, Wallingford, CT. John has played an integral part in
the development and implementation of ROHS compliant laminate materials
for Tech Circuits. His presentations on this topic have been well
received nation-wide.

In addition, the chapter will hold officer elections. Last minute
nominations will be accepted prior to the vote.

Please RSVP to Gary Ferrari at [log in to unmask] by noon on March
13th, space is limited.
