The IIW/ISO TG running 'round robin' testing on solder paste solder paste
testing asked for two solder pastes, one high viscosity & one low viscosity,
that could be used to properly test the two instruments (Brookfield and Malcom)
propsed for such testing. As I recall, one paste was made by Multicore and
one by Alpha. Each paste company made a standard batch of paste that met all
their internal and industry standards, then carefully divided the master batch
into small, properly packaged samples for each laboratory that was doing the
testing. (If anyone has questions on this, please contact Dr Wallace Rubin,
who chaired the TG. His email is: [log in to unmask]
