This is interesting. Several months ago (see the TechNet Archives) we
were making decisions about what to use for lead-free boards. We chose
Isola 410 because eat the time it was purported to be the "hot setup".
At least one industry review suggested that Isola 410 and Polyclad 370
HR were the top materials of choice. Price and availability have not
been stellar as many of our boards are only two layer and most materials
being produced, I'm told, are prepreg for multilayer applications. In
some cases we have seen board costs double or more when switched to 410.
I am also told that 415 is the next winner, but there is not much in the
pipeline.

That's like switching from a Toy Poodle to a King Charles Spaniel. A
definite improvement and with the right handler can perform well. Now if
you want to play in the Lead-Free Arena with all around performance in
any field, step up to the Working Dog Group.
Polyclad 370 HR and MEM 1755 are the current ribbon contenders.

Subject: [TN] IS410 FR-4 laminate

I am looking to switch from Nelco N4000-6 to Isola IS410 laminate. I
wanted to know if anyone would be willing to share there experience with
this material. This material will be used in a lead free process.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance.
