        The main reason for Sodium Chloride limits on a board is to
prevent dendrites forming between two points and creating a damaging
short. As stated below, there is a latent risk if there is salt in the
vicinity of a PWA. Now if the chances are very low that this salt will
travel, or the board is coated and the board is going to be used in the
desert(low humidity), then I would not worry too much about it.

Hi Andrew

This would not apply to metal housings as described only to the
electronic circuit assembly.

Mark you, if there is yukky stuff on the metal housing and the housing
drips condensation onto the circuit assembly that might then contain
some of this yukky stuff...then you might have a problem.
