Gives a whole new meaning to one flue over the pigeon coop or was that
cuckoos nest. I'm disturbed that I can't mentally figure that out.

The height above the roof is very important. Too high and it will be an
aircraft hazard, too low and the pile of deceased pigeons on the roof
may eventually block the exhaust flow............8-)

Happy Friday TechNetters...

        Hi Doug:
What you mean is negative pressure. Air should pulled
from the end of the exhaust tube instead of pushed from the bottom. If
it is pushed, ( blower is over the hood ) the tube leaks will exhaust
fumes into the building which is bad. If it is pulled (blower on the
roof ) the tube leaks dilute the fumes more, which is good. By
regulations the velocity at exits has to be some many feet per second,
depending on the area and the end of the tube has to be some many feet
above the roof, to avoid fumes from accumulating on the roof.
        Regards,
        Ramom
