Thanks, you answered the question very well. Holes, after plating, are not
all the same size and that was all I was driving at. If every hole on a
given board was drilled to the same size those holes would not all be the
same size after plating. For instance, holes on the perimeter would be
smaller after plating, thus making assembly and insertion tolerances a
variable that could present problems.
