Hi Werner,

You are right. Unfortunately spell check does not help much with homonyms
(well almost a homonym... ;-) .

I just can not believe the duplicity. First mandate that the  industry make
products that will consume more energy in manufacture, will  be less reliable,
less easy to recycle and then turn around and mandate that  they use less
energy, be more recyclable and be more reliable.

I gather from the tone of Fern's missive that I am not the only one  who sees
irony in this.

It is akin to the current forcing of lead-free down the throat of the
industry and then mandating recycling... Recycling makes the matter of lead  in
electronic solders totally without consequence.

Lewis Carrol would have had a field day with this latest "trip through the
looking glass".
