Hi Tom/Lead Free Network,

It came out of a UK reference, I will have to find it over the weekend
as I am unbelievably busy right now and it will take a while to go
through the docs, expect an answer Monday/Tuesday.

John,
Do you have a reference for the "10 working days to get it to them"?
I've never noticed that requirement before.

Best regards,

They actually don't have to do a thing; the proof of compliance is with
the producer. When they ask you for compliance data I believe you have
10 working days to get it to them...............

Hi,

I'm working for a little electronic manufacturer and we are working hard
to be RoHS compliant for July 2006. We are working to avoid
cross-contamination with lead but what I'm asking is,

how the European Community will do to be sure that the products sold in
Europe are really lead-free?

Will they have a kind of police who will verify and test the composition
of the products?

If yes, what will be the consequences if they found a banned substance?

Thank you

Dominic
