The biggest got-ya is contamination of the coating itself from previous
assemblies, if they are not perfectly clean. This would be most
noticeable with particulate contaminants, where there is a risk of
foreign bodies from one assembly floating around in the liquid. However,
this would be benign compared with the possibility of invisible
dissolved contaminants, especially if they were ionic, which would
accumulate with time. I'd recommend very frequent changes of the coating
liquid.

The concept sounds simple enough but I was looking for advice on process got ya's or issues to watch for when doing the dipping. Our customer is requiring the dipping process and currently doesn't wish to spend the money on more automated equipment.
