Does anyone know of a specification, study, or other document that can
define "Best Practices" when it comes to soldering vs socketing 68 lead
MPU. History tells me that socketed components that use sockets without
some form of mechanical lock down have a tendency to back out during
vibration and/or mechanical shock. Particular condition is a portable unit
that gets handled pretty rough.
