Doug,
I would have answered that question, but it would be what we do and why
and may not have been what you wanted. One trick I learned was if I had
a large container of something that was controlled or hazardous, I took
it to shipping and had them split the lot down to a size I wanted and
had them D-Order it back to the supplier for analysis. I then had a best
practice on how to re-package. If it was good enough for the US Mail, it
should be good enough for our stockroom. And there's no truth to the
rumor that this had anything to do with the term "going Postal".
I spent three days of meetings with Ed Nellans and in between the
dazzling displays of dew diligence, mind-numbing metaphors and
superfluous shards of syntax, I liberally spiced the soliloquies of
silence with "Dewey"isms. Who said I was alliterate. He now has a new
appreciation of your job.
See you in Anaheim.

So you're saying the need to re-package is due to an aleing economy?

To bring down your blood pressure here is the wrong answer:

Re-packaging

AS In....

Taking a glass of ice cold beer and pouring it into another warmer
container at a temperature of around 98 degrees f.

What a day. I hesitate to ask, given our usual Friday state of mind,
but here goes. Does anyone out there have an "industry standard" or
legal definition of repackaging? I am talking about taking a material
from one container and putting it into smaller containers.

Don't ask why. My blood pressure is high enough as it is.
