Direct Immersion Gold (DIG) is also a finish that should be looked at as
it is developed. The initial look that we have taken looks good and I
think this finish may be a good alternative in the near future.

I know George is listening and he has some good information on the
technology.

Well, immersion silver is still cheaper than gold over nickel.
The cheapest alternative is OSP, but I would not recommend it. It
depends also on the type of assembly and its application.
Immersion tin may be an alternative, but I would not recommend that
either, as it has serious storage and long-term reliability issues.

Richard: Thanks so much for the help.....much appreciated!!!! My boss
is
now askiing me to look in other directions vs. SAC305, with the price
of silver skyrocketing. Any suggestions?
As a contract manufacturer, we see a huge variety of applications, so I
am reluctant to go into something that the rest of the world has not
fully investigated.

Thanks for your help!!!!!

Best regards,
Bill
