I don't believe the symbol is coyrighted, but if you buy the standard,
it gives details regarding the minimum scaling allowed, and detailed
info on the ratios for drawing the symbol, and the placement, and type
of label to use (ie durability, etc).

If the wheelie bin is mandated by the EU does than mean that it is a
copyrighted symbol? Anybody with a graphic arts program and a small
amount of skill can generate the necessary image to put into a silk
screen or label. Shhhhhhhhh... That is what I did. I would be willing
to share my artwork. Watch, the label police will be knocking on my
door.
