Yannick,
How have you converted the rest of the machine? Are you replacing the
solder pot?
I believe stainless steel or Titanium fingers could be washed and little
or no trace of lead should be left, but there are smarter experts on
TechNet than I and therefore I will defer to their wisdom.
Phil

Subject: [LF] Wave Soldering Modification
Hi,
we need to do some modification on our wave soldering machine,
and my question is on the finger, they go throught the wave ( only the
bottom part of it) but if we want to do a switch from lead to lead free
we are busted because the lead on the finger will contaminate the solder
bath, so I tought to wash them before but it could be time consuming and
how do we know there is no lead left? or do someone know if the lead wil
stick on titanium finger or do you have any other type of finger to be
sure that any lead will stay on it if we change from leaded to lead free
production?
Thank You for your help
Yannick
